Occupational safety and health

The employer’s obligation is to ensure equality, well-being and a safe work environment for its employees. Occupational safety and health (OSH) is, however, a team effort, as a good work environment is built together.

OSH is one of the building blocks of work well-being, as individuals’ well-being at work is maintained, promoted and, if necessary, improved with the help of OSH standards and agreements. The starting point is for well-being at work to be taken into account in the daily routines of the workplace. Examining and assessing hazards is an essential part of OSH.

The employer is responsible for OSH-related matters. If you see any deficiencies in your work environment, notify your employer and the OSH representative for your workplace.
