As with all other sectors of the society, the coronavirus epidemic is causing changes to the currently on-going collective agreement negotiations. The negotiations are on-going in all OAJ agreement sectors and the changing situation is monitored on a daily basis.
During the additional meeting organised on Monday, 16 March, the OAJ Council decided to authorise the organisation’s President and Negotiations Director to decide on the potentially necessary organisational actions related to all pending agreement sectors for the on-going week. The Executive Board was authorised to make these decisions from the upcoming week onwards.
The authorisation to decide on the organisational actions is in effect due to the fact that OAJ is not alone in the collective agreement negotiations with the different employer parties. The organisation now wants to technically ensure that it is involved in all stages and events of the negotiations. The decisions of other negotiation parties, such as the professional organisations belonging to the Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals JUKO, also impact the negotiations.
